SOPHIA MARIE

A Californian singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, Sophia Marie is a graduate of Georgetown University and current master’s student at Oxford University. Described by Hollywood Life as “pure turn-of-the-century punk-pop goodness,” Sophia Marie mixes her penchant for global travel, her political studies, and her emotional volatility in witty, heartfelt lyrics that are distinctly hers.

Her debut EP “Foreigner” released spring 2022 with a music video for her hit anthem “Venice Beach to D.C.” In her sophomore album “the expatriate, immortalized” released spring 2023, Sophia details her studies abroad–longing to be immortalized, resembling a femme fatale in foreign cities, and falling for a fellow singer. Her latest EP “Trinity” describes the process of falling for a postgraduate as an undergrad ("Decency"), the contagion of cynicism falling from an older man onto an unprepared girl (“Cynic”), and the longing to finally belong to one’s hometown (“L.A., Could You Let Me In?”).
